Our Autumn 2011 30-Day Challenge is now over! A total of 46 students participated, with a new record number of 31 successfully completing 30 days in 40 degrees. This is why it's called a "challenge." What a great way to prepare for the winter holidays. Congratulations!

What students who completed the 30-Day Challenge had to say:

"Before I committed to 30-day challenge I was very skeptical that I would be able to complete it - I could not imagine practicing more than 4 days in a row (I've never done before) but I was surprised to discover that the challenge was mostly about making time to practice every single day and making that your priority as opposed to yoga being a physical challenge.

The sense of accomplishment after every class is amazing and once you finish the challenge you do feel like a real champion.

Everyday practice teaches you discipline and patience. Yoga helps you to slim down, tone the body, have quality sleep (the first time since I can remember I would wake up and be fully rested!!!), relax, be happy and live in the moment. It also helps you making healthy eating choices and listening to your body. I have noticed that I started to crave fruit or salads as opposed to crave chocolate! I started to love and appreciate my body more with all its limitations. Bikram yoga teaches you to love life and to appreciate every moment of it.

The most beautiful thing about regular practice though is that once you start, there is no way back to what your life was like before. You crave yoga, your body and mind knows that it's good for you and it simply feels wrong not to practice.

I have also experienced some other changes outside the Yoga room: I do not get distracted and frustrated about silly and unimportant things that often anymore, I just let go and that's a big thing for me cause I tend to get agitated easily. I think that every employer in London should send employs to practice Bikram Yoga during special breaks - it would help to reduce the number of stressed people in the city.

Overall I must say that it is an amazing experience and I will definitely repeat it early next year. Maybe I will even do a 60-day challenge if you've got a board large enough?" :)

"During the thirty consecutive days of Bikram practice, although I often felt I had become like an ascetic monk, I was looking forward tothe class; well, almost every day. I now really appreciate the benefits from the challenge and I truly think that it was a gem. The Challenge and the active meditation most certainly has gently led me to a good starting point for my spiritual journey, and the positive atmosphere at the studio definitely inspiredme to keep going. It has definitely been oneof the best things I have everdone so far in my life. I loved it. Manythanks to Bikram Yoga London."

"In the first week, it was hard getting myself motivated, once this had passed it was a real energy boost to my day. I found it kept me a bit more level headed about things each day and definitely energised me physically. Would recommend to everyone."
