EXCLUSIVELY ON BYL LIVE!

Join us for an extra special New Years Day!
Well, 2020 is thankfully drawing to a close, and while we’re not yet out of the woods, 2021 is looking to be a year of renewal, hope and transformation for many. January 1st represents the perfect day to create your vision for the year ahead, and this begins with a focus on health, fitness and goal-setting.

To begin your journey, we invite you to come join us on New Year’s Day, as we have four special classes to kick off the year in style on BYL Live!

As BYL tradition has it, we welcome January 1st with a New Year’s Beginners Bikram Yoga class, which our very own Martin will be leading for the 4th year, this time from his new home in Vienna!

Next, dynamo HIIT instructor Phoebe will help us blast 2020 back into history with her superb Inferno Pilates class which will leave you inspired for a year of transformation ahead. Following that, Lizzie leads us through a deep internal journey into Yin & Meditation, leading to Toro’s Gong Bath featuring Tibetan Bowls for our growing community of converts to sound healing.

There’s no extra charge to attend. Use any valid BYL package to book.

Special NYD Bikram Yoga

As a wonderful BYL tradition, every 1 January we hold a special New Year’s Day Bikram Yoga class led by one of our senior instructors! Reprising his role for the 4th year in a row, Martin will lead the 90 minute Bikram practise!
As our studios await the end of the current lockdown, for the very first time this will be held on BYL Live, so you can still kick off the New Year in style! Martin leads his class from his new home in Vienna!

Book in with your normal BYL pass. Don’t have one? Pick up one of our superb Livestream passes to ensure that your New Year gets off to a beautiful start.
Feedback on Martin’s NYD class…
Absolutely brilliant class, I’d love to see the regularity of these types of classes increase. The deceptively subtle corrections I’ve made to several postures since the Special Class have helped me get even more out of the regular classes.”

NYD Inferno Blast

A hot new regime imported from the US, Inferno Pilates is a low impact, full body, High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) class using Pilates principles.  Designed for ALL fitness levels. Total beginners and those needing to find real inspiration are welcome too!

Inferno Hot Pilates burns fat and strengthens muscles, all without the pounding of a high impact workout. This exciting 60 minute class is normally held at our studios in a 36-degree climate, however, it makes for an amazing home practice too!

Expect to burn up to 600-1000 calories in one session, and yes, you will feel your muscles telling you they want more! If you’re looking to begin 2021 with purpose and determination, book your spot now!

NYD Yin Yoga & Meditation

A more meditative approach to yoga, Yin aims at cultivating awareness of inner silence, and bringing to light a universal, interconnecting quality. Prepare for a magical yoga journey! Warm, gentle and satisfying.

This Yin Yoga experience is designed to balance and calm the mind and body, increase circulation, improve the body’s flexibility and range of motion, release fascia and improve joint mobility, balance the internal organs and improve the flow of prana.

Meditation powerfully aides internal processing by soothing mental discord and encouraging a ‘quietening’ of your inner dialogue. Uncovering the space between each thought trains the mind to recognise the impermanence of emotions and challenging scenarios. The melodic rhythm of the shamanic drum heightens your sense of perception, allowing you to access a deeper state of consciousness, emerging in a space of profound relaxation.

New Year’s Day Gong Bath

Starbucks manager and longtime BYL student Toro, will be leading us through a beautiful 1 hour session featuring the healing sounds of a Gong Bath with Tibetan Bowls, the ideal bliss-out to end the first evening of the New Year.

In this ancient practise originating in the Buddhist tradition, a wooden mallet strikes a water-filled Tibetan copper bowl which in turn vibrates, creating a haunting, deeply soothing sound, radiating a healing energy to help unblock chakras.

Feel the deep relaxation, while the Sound of Gong and Tibetan singing bowls reaches you in rich, harmonic frequencies, providing a deeply relaxing and calming experience, helping the body to let go of any emotional imbalance, allowing the optimal flow of your electromagnetic energy, and leaving in you in a overall state of well-being.

Begin the New Year with a deep feeling of peace as subtle, harmonic frequencies pulse through mind and soul, drawing one further into blissful oblivion. You don’t want to miss this!
