It is with great excitement we announce that one of the world’s leading and most experienced senior teachers of Bikram Yoga, Esak Garcia, 2005 World Yoga Asana Champion, Seminar and Jedi Fight Club Leader, will hold a special Workshop & Masterclass at Bikram Yoga London Bridge on Sunday 14 April. This is an extremely rare event, and we’re pleased to have secured a day in Esak’s busy schedule this year to make it happen!

All Levels Welcome (Beginners, Don’t Miss It!)

This is a special advance notice to BYL members, as the past events we have held with Esak, most recently in 2018, were completely sold out, attracting attendees from all around the U.K. and Europe. Esak is one of the world’s most sought-after Bikram seminar leaders, with a large following, therefore interest in this event will be high and we expect it to sell out early. If you are planning to attend, we recommend booking your space asap.

This is a must-attend event for anyone looking to improve their practice or learn more about Bikram yoga, regardless for how long they have practiced. An immersive 3-hour Workshop will be followed by a special 90-minute Masterclass, both led by Esak who will inspire you with his deep knowledge and absolute love of the original groundbreaking series. Note, all levels, including beginners, are welcome to attend both the Workshop and the Masterclass!

Esak offers a wealth of experience and unparalleled knowledge about the yoga and will share valuable insights and details about the key postures and the Bikram series in general. You will come away hugely inspired and enlightened, with great tips how to improve your postures and can expect to gain lots of new insights into the yoga, even if you’ve practised for years. The skills you will learn in this workshop will give you tools to optimise your practice and see turbocharged results.

All levels welcome, Beginners to Advanced!

The workshop is open to all levels of practitioners from beginners to advanced practitioners who are curious about moving their bodies and practices to a deeper level.

The workshop is designed to impart knowledge, skills, top tips and strong techniques with asana practice in a safe, friendly and fun environment. Plenty of time to ask questions and to work your body in an accessible way in a warm studio.

Why attend a workshop, when you have a regular yoga practice? Workshops allow you to have a dedicated time to listen and learn in a more committed and concentrated manner within your yoga community. Your regular yoga practice is about discipline, commitment and development but often without always the knowledge of how to fully improve technique, alignment and what is the next step to move the body and asana practice onwards and upwards.

From representatives of 25 countries, he was chosen for his ability to most accurately demonstrate the combination of strength, flexibility, balance, poise and grace that are cultivated in Hatha yoga. Since then, Esak has been conducting yoga seminars, coaching clinics and demonstrations internationally in numerous countries. He runs the Jedi Fight Club for more advanced yogis, conducts teacher trainings for the Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced series and owns his own studio in Boulder, Colorado.

Born and raised in Boulder, Colorado, Esak graduated valedictorian from Boulder High School, then studied Political Science and Philosophy at Yale University. He became interested in Bikram Yoga as a high school athlete at the age of 17 using it to condition himself for playing baseball and American football. He also studied the Afro-Brazilian martial art of Capoeira for over 10 years and has continuously practiced Bikram Yoga since 1994. He graduated as a teacher from Bikram’s Yoga College of India in 2001.

“My intention is to help new and experienced students find stillness, breathing and power in their postures by demonstrating proper technique and discussing the underlying concepts that are the foundation of Hatha yoga. I believe that a regular yoga practice of Hatha yoga, maintained over time is a brilliant way to develop a person’s latent potential.” ~Esak Garcia
