I was first introduced to Bikram yoga in 2005 by my work colleague after I relocated from Hong Kong to London. I am Slovak-Hungarian by origin and I instantly liked the heat as London felt a little cold. I have always been active however I have never seen so many people sweating like there is no tomorrow and turning and twisting themselves into poses with relative ease.
I constantly remind myself and my students that each practice and each posture requires tremendous concentration and determination but most importantly a huge amount of patience. Improvements come in small doses. I believe that we often have a strength to heal (mentally and physically) ourselves from within.
I have qualified and taught Bikram yoga since 2011 and more recently Vinyasa and Jivamukti (dynamic classes focusing on alignment and flowing sequences). I am currently training to be a yoga therapist with Yogacampus. Yoga therapy tailors yoga to suit individual needs, medical conditions and injuries. Yoga is truly for everyone regardless of age, ability, occupation or belief – so find your preferred style, suitable approach and enjoy your yoga journey!
I’ve been teaching and practising at the Canary Wharf studio since 2011 and have to say that the vibe is fantastic and quality of instruction is first rate across all disciplines taught here. It’s a great place for beginners to learn the practise of yoga.
