Jyoti belongs to a beautiful hill state in India, Himachal Pradesh, known as the Dev-bhumi or “Land of the Gods”. She has done her PhD in languages and has been involved in spiritual and yoga practices from a young age. She moved around India staying in Western and Southern parts of India, where she picked various styles of Yoga.
She moved to Hong Kong in 2014 and completed the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Certification and 100-Hour Pranayam & Meditation Certification from the International Yoga Teacher Association. She started her own yoga classes in Hong Kong focusing on body alignment, destress yoga, yin yoga with pranayama & meditation and hatha yoga.
Before taking to Yoga, she has seventeen years of rich experience in teaching and setting entrepreneurial ventures. She has been involved in community programs like teaching special needs children, free yoga classes to domestic helpers.
As a trained teacher, Jyoti has a great passion for sharing her knowledge with her students. She wants to share the benefits of yoga and mindfulness with everyone. She truly believes that yoga is not just about asanas but connecting the mind & body to the soul. There are no barriers of age, size, flexibility or strength in yoga, everyone can practice and get benefited from it.
